What we mean by asset protection
This is lawful structuring: separation of risks, a clear ownership structure and diversification. Structures are disclosed to banks and, where required, to tax authorities. The aim is not to hide assets but to avoid keeping everything in one place.
What a structure consists of
- Owner. The personal layer: you own shares, not individual assets and contracts.
- Holding. A company that owns shares in operating companies, intellectual property and investments.
- Operating companies. Each line of business in its own company, so risks do not pass to the others.
- Assets and accounts. Real estate, liquid funds, and accounts at several banks and in several countries.
Why not a single jurisdiction
If everything is tied to one bank, one regulator and one court, any change in the rules or a bank refusal affects the whole. That is why the set of jurisdictions is chosen for the task. The UAE often becomes the hub of the structure thanks to its free zones and the DIFC and ADGM financial centres, but the decision depends on your residency and objectives.
How the work is organised
- Review of the situation: assets, participants, countries, objectives and risks
- Structure design: layers, jurisdictions, company roles
- Agreeing the structure with a lawyer and a tax adviser
- Company formation, licences, visas
- Bank account opening in the required jurisdictions
- Ongoing support: corporate procedures, renewals, reporting
What we do not do
We do not promise confidentiality outside the law and we do not build schemes to conceal assets. We do not issue legal or tax opinions ourselves: these are prepared by partner lawyers and tax advisers for your residency.
The decision to open an account is made by the bank. Tax consequences depend on your country of residency and are assessed individually.
